We receive exceptional care of our pet's at Fairfield Veterinary Hospital. I can't imagine taking our dog to any one else. Dr. Brinkley is thoughtful and knowledgeable, our dog loves her, and we trust her!

Dr. Tew is amazing! Staff is so sweet. I’ve used Fairfield Vet for 20+ years. They have taken care of all of my animals. Dr. Tew calls you personally. I would not trust anyone else with my fur babies.

I took my 12 year old boxer into this place. They were great to begin with then I took him in because he developed a small pus pocket on his ear. They drained it and said he would be fine. The next two days it came back. The vet gave him an antibiotic and steroid (Prednisone) . She didn't tell me any of the possible side effects. Well needless to say it made him have very violent seizures and what they call 'doggie dementia". So in my eyes, they killed my otherwise healthy beautiful boxer Another thought: I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I, regrettably, took my 5 yr old shiht tzu in for vaccines. Well they informed me he needed a dental cleaning which requires sedation and he would need several extractions so I was looking at a bill of over $1,500.00. which I am sorry to say, I couldn't afford at the immediate moment. So they scheduled him for 30 days later. When I did not bring him in for the procedure, I was told if we needed their services, he would have to call 3 days prior and pay a $75 deposit. That tells me they do not care about animals only dollars. I hope my posts prevent some loving families some heartache by posting this.

Majority of the time I'm there, it's great because the doctors have always been kind, knowledgeable, understanding, and never rough with my two cats. 2 of the receptionists, one of them being Taunia, I unfortunately forgot the other ones name, but they are extremely kind, schedule my elderly cats solencia shots with times that are convenient for me and perfect for Kara and Suki so they get them on time and also checks up on both my cats if they need to be seen. However, my 4 star rating is due to one receptionist who was extremely disrespectful to my mom and I had run into issues with her before. The day in question was extremely sick and I fell asleep finally having the exhaustion catch up to me and my mother was still kind enough to take Suki in for her solencia injection. Unfortunately due to traffic and construction, which she made that receptionist aware of, she was 10 minutes late to the appointment. Not only was she met with disrespect from that receptionist but when 3 rooms opened up and my mother was the only one in the lobby, that receptionist told her that she'd have to wait since she was SO LATE. I know exactly which one my mother was describing (though I don't remember her name. Obviously neither of the ones I mentioned I like who are kind) because I have gone off on her in the clinic for her attitude when it came to an appointment that was confirmed with me a month prior so I was there on time at the date and she then stated they can't do reoccurring scheduled visits and they would see Suki that day but for future reference that can't be done which is bs because Taunia who has literally done exactly that for me before said you're able to so the receptionist who told me that honestly probably doesn't know what receptionists are able to do. That receptionist definitely needs to be retrained on etiquette and proper customer service because her behavior is off putting. Both of my cats have always been treated really well here though and I haven't run into problems for a while. So hopefully that continues. UPDATE 03/15/2026: I wanted to say there are 2 doctors there I really enjoy my cats seeing and they are Dr. Brinkley and Dr. Tew, they are always incredibly kind to both of them and I make sure to only schedule with those 2 doctors. There is 1 doctor I refuse to see, I won't name her, but she made my very friendly cat who never lashes out at anyone hiss and when I had commented on it, she offered no apology. The other receptionist whose name I remember and like is Jennifer, there's one more who's friendly as well and I haven't run into any more issues with receptionists. They made a note in my account for my cats not to be seen by that one doctor and they're always so happy to see them and very understanding and empathetic when an emergency arises (you should still try and give notice if you need to cancel though). My favorite thing I never mentioned is how I can make all my appointments through the texting line because I don't like doing phone calls unless absolutely necessary. I forgot the names of the vet techs who regularly handle Kara and Suki but those ladies are very friendly as well and I like seeing them. When I had concerns about Suki making uncomfortable noises while getting the solencia injection a couple times, they actually gave me an explanation that made me feel better (the medicine is kept in the fridge so it could've felt a little cold and uncomfortable), and I greatly appreciated when they told me that and they treat my cats with kindness and respect. Still wish I knew what breed Suki is, she's a mystery torti. 😅 But Kara is a ragdoll siamese. They're both good girls and do pretty well for the Doctors and Techs so that's why I keep going back. The doctors and receptionists also reach out for follow ups to see how your pet is doing which is very reassuring that they care. So my adjustment to 5⭐️ will be the last update. They've worked really hard to show they care. The last visit I had, the tech was also incredibly kind in that she administered the medicine while I held my cats. ❤️
